Thursday 22nd
2.30-3.30pm: Songs of Praise at Queensway Chapel in Pembroke Road. An opportunity to sing favourite hymns and to chat over a ‘cuppa’. All Welcome, speaker Nora Phillips.

Saturday 24th
10.30am-12.30pm: Family Print and Recycling Scrap workshops at Melksham United Church Hall. Run by Melksham Arts for All, £5 per family, book in advance at Melksham News office.
1-3pm: Staverton House and The Old Vicarage Jumble/Nearly New sale at Staverton Club. Items to be donated for sale can be brought to Staverton House on Friday 23rd 3-7pm.

Sunday 25th
2-4pm: Conigre Mead Nature Reserve Open Day. An afternoon full of hands-on activities for all the family, discovering what animals live in the nature reserve. Pond dipping, sweep netting and a sensory nature walk are just some of the activities to take part in. Admission free, children must be accompanied by an adult, please remember to dress appropriately. To find out more, call 01380 725 760.

9.15pm: Bat walk at Conigre Mead Nature Reserve.

3pm: ‘An Ascot Afternoon’ (hats will be worn) at ‘Moorlands’, Station Approach, Melksham. By very kind permission of Mr and Mrs Moore. Parking: Station Approach Road. In aid of the British Epilepsy Association, ticket £10.

Tuesday 27th
10am-2pm: Open House at Queensway Chapel, Pembroke Road. Coffee and lunch in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

7pm: The Melksham Community Area Partnership Public Meeting at the Assembly Hall.

Wednesday 28th
8pm: Meeting of the Royal Air Forces Association, Melksham House. All welcome.

Thursday 29th
12.30-1.15pm: Lunch Time recital at the Rachel Fowler Centre: Suzy Gilbert, Mezzo.

2.30-3.30pm: Songs of Praise at Queensway Chapel in Pembroke Road. Sing favourite hymns and to chat over a ‘cuppa’. All Welcome, speaker Sue Bull.

7pm: James and the Giant Peach at Lacock Abbey: fantastical theatre performance. Gates open for picnics from 6pm. Children £8, adults £14, Family (2A+2C) £38. £2 extra on the gate. Book on 0844 249 1895.

Saturday 31st
2-4pm: Mavern House Nursing Home, Summer Fete. There will be a variety of stalls, a raffle, cream teas, BBQ. Everyone welcome.

10.30-11.45: Space Hop at Melksham Library: ‘Bookstart Bear at the sea’ - a story and rhymetime with simple crafts and colouring for 5 year olds and under.

10am-5pm: Wiltshire Artists: 38th Annual Exhibition, St Peter’s Church, High Street, Marlborough. Free, opening times on Sunday 8th is 11.30am-4pm.

Sunday 8th
11am-4pm: Melksham and District Beekeepers Association: annual Bee and Honey Show at The National Trust, Lacock. There will be a wide range of bee & honey related activities including: Live beekeeping demonstrations, local honey & products for sale, candle rolling for children and much more.
